Background to the West Kent Sunday Football League

The West Kent Sunday League was founded in 1967 and this season celebrates its 50th anniversary..
The League is a Sunday morning Association Football (Soccer) league for adults.
The League has 36 member clubs and this season (2016 - 2017) comprises 41 teams, including five reserve teams.

There will be three League cup competitions, plus a supplementary Spring Cup if weather permits clubs to finish their league matches early.  Many clubs also enter their respective County cup competitions.

The League is fully affiliated to the Kent County Football Association. It is open to clubs within a 20-mile radius of Tonbridge, Kent, UK.

A majority of the clubs are based in and around Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Paddock Wood and Crowborough.

The more distant clubs include Dormansland Rockets, two in East Grinstead, Green Street Blues (based in Orpington), one in Bromley and also Ticehurst.

The League is administered by the League Council, which is elected by the member clubs at an Annual General Meeting.

Membership application for the season 2017 2018 will be considered from January 2016 onwards, with new clubs or teams needing to formalise details during May.
