West Kent Sunday League News Report Sunday 4th March 2018

Several days of sub-zero temperatures, snow and gales put paid to all but one the scheduled matches.

Kent Sunday Premier Cup

Artois United will try again next week in their Semi-Final tie at Bradstow Albion

Division Two

The only game on Sunday saw Division Two leaders Green Street Blues consolidate their top spot with a good 8-2 win at home to Goudhurst United on the synthetic pitch at Tintagel Road in Orpington. (Would that there were more!)

Blues' Jack Edmeads scored for the ffith game in succession, this time it was a hat-trick and his season total is now 12. He is quickly catching up with leading scorers Ash Birchruffell and Shaun Boyle, who each scored one. The other three goals were by Romain Duchon, Rob Shearman and an own goal. United's scorers were Jack Martin and Josh Cleaver. Only Crowborough Town can now seriously challenge Blues for the Second Division title. They've played each other twice, so all depends on how they perform against others.
