Only Simla of the three WKSFL clubs went through the second round and
that only because Tunbridge Wells Foresters could not raise a team.
Artois United had the closest call, their match at Aylesford
ended 2-2
after extra time. George Rogers and Josh Marshall had scored for Artois
before it went to the shoot-out. No joy at all for United as the
penalties went the way of Aylesford by the convincing margin of 3-1
Armada were convincingly beaten 5-0 at home by AFC Locomotive, who top the Ashford League, so no disgrace there.
Simla will face East Malling United in the Second Round on 16th October,
when Tonbridge Origin and Insulators will join in, both having
received byes from the First Round.

Gardener's Arms maintained their lead with a 4-0 win at home against Hawkenbury Sunday
but the teams chasing them all have games in hand. With cup ties taking
priority for most teams over the next three weeks, there won't be much
change in this Division unless Pembury Sunday win the two games they
have coming up.
Gardener's victory featured another two goals from Karl Smith, Lee
Cooper and Jack Moore also scored while Ben carter kept his second clean
sheet of the season.
Match of the day was at Ashurst, where Langton Green smashed Brenchley
by the fairly incredible score of 14-1. Green must have been wanting a
home win after starting the season with two away defeats, but probably
didn't expect this. Jon Donoghue's personal tally was eight of them,
Matt Parsons scored three, Adam Radford two and Richard Marsh one.
Somehow among the mayhem Dave Hartfield scored for Brenchley.
Pembury Sunday's top scorer Steve Harper was instrumental in their 6-1 home win against SE Spitfires.
His hat-trick paved the way for his side's first league win of the
season. The other goals were scored by Mak Wyles, Marc Chappell and
Yacine Marouani. Spitfirfres scorer unknown.
Cassidy's Phoenix suffered their second 3-2 defeat in as many matches, going down by that score at home to Green Lane. A pair from Josh harris and an own goal gave Lane the points. Cassidy's scorers were Matt Ferris and Vicente Terenti.
Hadlow Hornets were unable to raise a team for their game against Blackham and Ashurst.
this and other unplayed games in this Division will be discussed at the
Management Committee meeting on Tuesday. Points may be awarded, the
table will be updated later in the week if that is the case.

Crowborough Town continue to carry all before them, maintaining their 100% record with a 5-0 win at Goldsmith's over St John's Yard.
For the third week in four Town started superbly and two goals in the
first five minutes put them in control. The first came from Matt
Pickett and this was quickly followed by the second from Darren Nicol
Just five minutes later it could have been three when a Matt Pickett
cross found the head of Darren Nicol, but he just failed to find the
target. The visitors were finding it hard to cope with the pace of the
Town forwards and a number of chances went begging until a through ball
from Ben Warlow reached Frankie Pooley and he made in three. It was not
all in one half and the visitors made Crowborough's keeper Ryan Hunt
pull off an excellent save just before half time to keep the score at 3 -
0
The second half found St John' Yard trying hard to get back into the
game, but Towns good football kept them in control. After ten
minutes a Leon Fisher free kick found Darren Nicol. His shot was well
saved by the visiting keeper, only for the rebound to fall to Steve
Palmer who tucked the ball into the net. An off the ball incident saw a
player from each side substituted. St Johns settled down to play some
good football but without success in front of goal. With fifteen minutes
to go a good passing move between Calvin Camilleri and Jordan Vinall
saw Chris (Biffa) Martin take the final pass to put Matt Pickett through
to score his second of the game.
Not the best performance by Town this season, but the visitors had
made it difficult and at the final whistle the clean sheet by Ryan Hunt
and a 5 - 0 result kept the unbeaten record intact.
Tonbridge Invicta, in second place, came up short against Paddock Wood Reserves. Paul Smith scored the only goal of the game for the Wood in a 1-0 win and Adam Good the ´keeper kept his sheet clean.
Invicta meet Town next Sunday which could already be called a six-pointer.
Green Street Blues are gaining ground after a comprehensive 7-1 win at home to Ticehurst Village Club.
There were six different goalscorers, with Chris Harrigan getting two.
Jon Sims, Neil Brooks, Tom Wilken, Ash Birchruffel and James Phillips
were the names that went to make up the final tally. Rob Brilety scored
the consolation goal for the visitors.
